These photos show the two 60' 12"x12" lower mast sticks inside my sparhut. One is on the spar table. Photo on the left shows Iris under the tripod. The photo on the right show the lower 17 feet with the taper on four sides. The process of putting the taper in on four sides took a long time because I wanted to make sure I did not make a mistake. It is during this shaping that I am making sure that the spar is straight. Both the lower main mast and lower fore mast are finished. Topmasts were finished in August.
